The present invention provides a chemical compound or a salt thereof having the chemical formula of: formula (I) wherein said R is H or citrate and wherein at least one R is citrate. The salt of the chemical compound is the Na+, K+, Mg2+ , or Ca2+ salt of said chemical compound. The chemical compound is a chelator which chelates sodium, potassium or lithium, magnesium, calcium, copper, iron, lead, zinc, aluminum, mercury, cadmium, or chromium. It is also be used as an artery plaque dissolver and/or to treat age-related degenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease. The present invention also provides a method for producing the phytic citrate compound and/or its salt.
La présente invention concerne un composé chimique ou un sel de celui-ci de formule chimique (I), dans laquelle: R est H ou citrate et au moins un R est citrate. Le sel du composé chimique est le sel Na+, K+, Mg2+, ou Ca2+ dudit composé chimique. Le composé chimique est un agent de chélation qui réalise la chélation de sodium, potassium ou lithium, magnésium, calcium, cuivre, fer, plomb, zinc, aluminium, mercure, cadmium, ou chrome. Il est également destiné à la dissolution de plaque artérielle et/ou au traitement de maladies dégénératives liées à l'âge, telles que la maladie d'Alzheimer. Le présente invention concerne également un procédé pour la production du composé à base de citrate d'acide phytique et/ou de son sel.
