The invention relates to a method for the production of long-chained, multiply unsaturated fatty acids in an organism, wherein nucleic acids coding for polypeptide with acyltransferase activity are introduced into the organism. Said nucleic acid sequences can be advantageously expressed in the organism, optionally together with other nucleic acid sequences coding for polypeptides of the biosynthesis of the fatty acid or lipid metabolism. The invention also relates to a method for the production of oils and/or triacylglycerides with an increased content of long-chained, multiply unsaturated fatty acids. The invention further relates to the nucleic acid sequences, nucleic acids constructs vectors and organisms containing the inventive nucleic acid sequences, vectors containing the nucleic acid sequences and/or nucleic acid constructs and transgenic organisms containing the above-mentioned nucleic acid sequences, nucleic acid constructs and/or vectors. The invention additionally relates to oils, lipids and/or fatty acids produced according to the inventive method and to the utilization thereof.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'acides gras à longue chaîne polyinsaturés dans un organisme, procédé selon lequel on introduit dans ledit organisme des acides nucléiques codant pour des polypeptides présentant une activité d'acyltransférase. De façon avantageuse, ces séquences nucléotidiques peuvent être exprimées dans l'organisme éventuellement avec d'autres séquences nucléotidiques codant pour des polypeptides de la biosynthèse du métabolisme des acides gras ou des lipides. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production d'huiles et/ou de triacylglycérides présentant une teneur élevée en acides gras polyinsaturés à longue chaîne. Elle concerne en outre les séquences nucléotidiques, les constructions nucléotidiques, les vecteurs et les organismes contenant les séquences nucléotidiques, les vecteurs contenant les séquences nucléotidiques et/ou les constructions nucléotidiques selon l'invention, ainsi que des organismes transgéniques contenant lesdites séquences nucléotidiques, constructions nucléotidiques et/ou lesdits vecteurs. De plus, l'invention concerne des huiles, des lipides et/ou des acides gras produits selon le procédé présenté et leur utilisation.
