A novel benzophenone type polymerizable dye having a urethane bond; a process for producing the same; and an ophthalmic lens material containing the polymerizable dye. There are provided benzophenone type polymerizable dyes of the general formula: (1) wherein each of R1 and R2 independently is a hydrogen atom, hydroxyl, carboxyl, a C1-C8 alkyl, a C1-C8 alkoxyl, sulfonate or benzyloxy; each of m and n independently is an integer of 0 to 18; and R3 is a polymerizable functional group selected from among vinyl, acryloyl and methacryloyl.
L~invention concerne un nouveau colorant polymérisable de type benzophénone ayant une liaison uréthane ; un procédé pour produire celui-ci ; et un matériau de lentille ophtalmique contenant le colorant polymérisable. On fournit des colorants polymérisables de type benzophénone répondant à la formule générale : (1) où R1 et R2 représentent chacun indépendamment l~un de l~autre un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe hydroxyle, carboxyle, alkyle en C1 à C8, alcoxyle en C1 à C8, sulfonate ou benzyloxy ; m et n sont chacun indépendamment l~un de l~autre un nombre entier de 0 à 18 ; et R3 représente un groupe fonctionnel polymérisable choisi parmi des groupes vinyle, acryloyle et méthacryloyle.
