There is provided polymorph Form G of Fluvastatin sodium having X-ray diffraction peak at 2.theta. value of 3.48. Also a process for the preparation of the polymorph Form G comprising spray drying a 3 to 10% w/v solution of Fluvastatin sodium in a solvent using a spray gun at inlet temperature of 120 to 200 ~C and outlet temperature of 60 to 100 ~C of the spray gun.

L~invention concerne une forme polymorphe G de la Fluvastatine sodique présentant une crête de diffraction par rayon X à une valeur de 2.theta. de 3,48. L~invention concerne en outre un procédé de préparation de la forme polymorphe G comprenant le séchage par pulvérisation d~une solution de 3 à 10 % en masse par volume de Fluvastatine sodique dans un solvant à l'aide d'un pistolet de pulvérisation à une température d'admission de 120 à 200 °C et à une température de sortie de 60 à 100 °C du pistolet de pulvérisation.
