The invention provides drugs which exhibit excellent antibacterial activity, low toxicity, improved bioavailability, and low degrees of plasma protein binding. Pyridonecarboxylic acid derivatives represented by the general formula (1) or salts thereof; and antibacterial agents or medicines, containing the same. The general formula (1) wherein R1 is methyl, fluoro, or chloro; R2 is hydrogen or lower alkyl; R3 is isopropyl or tert-butyl; R4 is methyl or halogeno; and R5 is fluoro or chloro.

L~invention concerne des médicaments qui présentent une excellente activité antibactérienne, une faible toxicité, une biodisponibilité améliorée et un faible degré de liaison aux protéines plasmatiques.
