A quaternary ammonium compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of general formula (I) and general formula (II) wherein R is -H, -CH3 or - C2H5; R1, R2, and R3 are each independently of one another fatty acid radicals having 6-22 carbon atoms; and A - is an inorganic or organic anion selected from the group consisting of: fluoride, chloride, bromide, iodide, chlorite, chlorate, hydroxide, hypophosphite, phosphite, phosphate, carbonate, formate, acetate, lactate, and other carboxylates, oxalate, methyl sulfate, ethyl sulfate, benzoate, and salicylate; compositions containing these quaternary ammonium compounds, and uses therefor.
Cette invention concerne un composé d'ammonium quaternaire issu du groupe qui comprend les composés correspondant à la formule générale (I) et à la formule générale (II). R représente -H, -CH¿3? ou -C¿2?H¿5?, tandis que R?1¿, R?2¿ et R?3¿ représentent chacun indépendamment des radicaux d'acide gras comportant de 6 à 22 atomes de carbone.
