- 29 - Abstract of the Disclosure: Novel Steroid Derivative A steroid derivative of the formula (I): Image (I) wherein X is hydrogen or fluorine; R1 is hydrogen, hydroxyl or methyl; R2 and R3 are each independently hydrogen, hydroxy, -O(CH2)nSi(R)3 or -OCOR; R4 is a lower alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R is a lower alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 1 to 6, which has a potent anti-inflammatory activity with high selectivity but does not show an undesirable side effect of glucocorticoids.
