The invention relates to novel substituted oxazolidines of formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 are simultaneously hydrogen or both together are the identical lower alkyl radical, and to the salts thereof in racemic and chiral form, to a process for the preparation of said compounds, to pharmaceutical compositions containing them, and to the use thereof as medicaments. The compounds have a stimulating effect on beta-adrenergic receptors and can be used, inter alia, for the treatment of diseases associated with reversible obstruction of the respiratory tract, typically asthma and chronic bronchitis, and also for inflammations of different origin.

La présente invention concerne de nouvelles oxazolidines substituées conformes à la formule générale (I), où R¿1? et R¿2? sont simultanément hydrogène ou tous les deux ensemble représentent le radical alkyle inférieur identique, et leurs sels sous forme racémique ou chirale. Elle concerne également un procédé pour la préparation desdits composés, des compositions pharmaceutiques les comportant, et leur utilisation comme médicaments. Les composés ont un effet stimulant sur les récepteurs bétâ-adrénergiques et peuvent être utilisés, entre autres choses, pour le traitement des affections associées à l'obstruction réversible des voies respiratoires, principalement, de l'asthme et de la bronchite chronique, mais également pour des inflammations de différentes origines.
