Procédé de préparation d'un (méth)acrylate (VI) où G = -CH2SR' (R' - alkyle pouvant porter une fonction OH, auquel cas Q = alkyle, ou bien H) ; ou G = H ou CH3, auquel cas Q = -(CH2)n-S x O y Z (1 ~ n ~ 12 ; 1 ~ x ~ 3 ; 0 ~ y ~ 2 ; et Z = alkyle, cycloalkyle, alcényle, aryle, alkylaryle, arylalkyle ou hétérocycle pouvant porter une fonction ester), par réaction d'un (méth)acrylate (VII), où R = H, CH3 ou -CH2X (X = Hal et Q = métal alcalin ou alkyle), avec un composé soufré R'SH ou ZS x(CH2)n X, ladite réaction étant effectuée en milieu au moins partiellement aqueux à 50-100°C ou dans un solvant organique dont la t éb < 100'C, en présence d'au moins un inhibiteur de polymérisation et d'au moins un agent de transfert de phase, et conduisant, lorsque R = H ou CH3, à un (méth)acrylate (VI-a) où G = H ou CH3 et y = 0, auquel cas cette première réaction peut être suivie par une réaction d'oxydation à environ 10-60°C, pour obtenir un (méth)acrylate (VI) où y > 0.
