A superconducting tape is disclosed, including a substrate, a buffer layer overlying the substrate, a superconductor layer overlying the buffer layer, and an electroplated stabilizer layer overlying the superconductor layer. Also disclosed are components incorporating superconducting tapes, methods for manufacturing same, and methods for using same. The tape provides for low AC losses, and is particularly suitable for deployment in components where attenuation of AC losses is important, such as in rotating machines.

L'invention concerne un ruban superconducteur comprenant : un substrat ; une couche tampon disposée par-dessus le substrat ; une couche superconductrice disposée par-dessus la couche tampon ; et une couche de stabilisant à revêtement électrolytique disposée par-dessus la couche superconductrice. L'invention concerne également des composants comprenant ces rubans superconducteurs, ainsi que des procédés de fabrication et d'utilisation associés. Le ruban selon l'invention présente de faibles pertes de courant alternatif et il est particulièrement adapté pour être utilisé dans des composants pour lesquels l'atténuation des pertes de courant alternatif est importante, tels que les machines rotatives.
