Novel Trypanosoma cruzi antigen, known as PTc100, and a code gene, known as Tc100, coding therefor. According to the invention, Tc100 and PTc100 amino acid nucleotide sequences have been determined and described. PTc100 and Tc100 or the modified or unmodified fragments thereof, can be used directly or indirectly to detect Trypanosoma cruzi or to treat the infection caused by it in humans or animals.

La présente invention concerne un nouvel antigène de Trypanosoma cruzi, dénommé PTc100, et un gène code codant pour ce demier, dénommé Tc100. Selon l'invention, on a déterminé et décrit les séquences nucléotidiques de Tc100 et d'acides aminés de PTc100. PTc100 et Tc100, ou leurs fragments, modifiés ou non, peuvent être utilisés directement ou indirectement pour la détection de Trypanosoma cruzi, ou le suivi de l'infection générée par ce dernier, chez l'homme ou l'animal.
