The invention concerns novel variants of the PapM polypeptide of bacteria of genus Streptomycetes having substrate selectivity and/or enhanced efficacy relative to the wild-type polypeptide. The invention also concerns nucleic acids coding for said variants, micro-organisms incorporating said nucleic acids and their use for producing streptogramin B components.
