La présente invention se rapporte à un outil permettant d'économiser le travail lors du transfert d'un gène dans un hôte et de l'expression dudit gène aux fins de l'obtention d'une protéine. L'invention concerne un vecteur caractérisé en ce qu'il porte deux séquences de reconnaissance du clivage présentant des séquences de bases différentes, reconnues par une première enzyme de restriction, l'une desdites séquences de reconnaissance du clivage contenant une partie d'une séquence de reconnaissance du clivage qui est reconnue par une seconde enzyme de restriction différente de la première enzyme de restriction, tandis que l'autre séquence de reconnaissance du clivage ne comporte aucune partie de la séquence de reconnaissance du clivage qui est reconnue par la seconde enzyme de restriction décrite ci-dessus. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de production d'une protéine et/ou d'un domaine protéique au moyen de ce vecteur.
