Burner technology has long struggled with the tendency for NOX compounds (various compounds of Nitrogen and Oxygen) to form in the gaseous products of combustion, and the industry is actively seeking ways to suppress this formation. It has now been discovered that NOX generation can be curtailed by ensuring; that substantially all of the burning gases are subjected to a sufficient degree of turbulence. The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for applying this discovery to the practical problem of NOX generation.
