An adjusting mechanism for the annular inlet (12) of a radial inflow turbine employing a rotatably mounted adjusting ring (32) as one side of the annular inlet with cams and biased slots controlling primary vanes (40) located within the inlet. A clamping ring (22) which is capable of moving axially is located inwardly of the adjusting ring (32). A bearing piston ring (36) is mounted to the clamping ring (22) and supports the adjusting ring (32). The bearing ring (36) also provides some sealing capabilities. A sealing ring (28) between the clamping ring (22) and the housing ring (18) accommodates some small axial movement of the clamping ring (22) and seals against substantial pressure differential between the inlet and outlet of the nozzle itself. Pins (30) extend across the annular inlet (12) to pivotally mount the primary vanes (40).

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de réglage pour l'entrée annulaire (12) d'une turbine à écoulement radial, ce mécanisme utilisant une bague de réglage (32) montée pivotante, un coté de l'entrée annulaire, pourvu de cames et de fentes obliques, permettant de réguler des valves primaires (40) placées à l'intérieur de ladite entrée. Un collier de serrage (22), capable de se déplacer axialement, est disposé vers l'intérieur de ladite bague de réglage (32), une garniture de piston d'appui (36) étant montée sur ce collier de serrage (22) de manière à soutenir ladite bague de réglage (32), cette bague d'appui (36) présentant par ailleurs des propriétés d'étanchéité. Une bague d'étanchéité (28), située entre ledit collier de serrage (22) et le carter (18), abrite le déplacement axial du collier de serrage (22) et constitue une fermeture étanche contre toute différence de pression importante entre l'entrée et la sortie de la buse. Des goupilles (30), qui s'étendent autour de ladite entrée annulaire (12), permettent de monter pivotantes les valves primaires (40).
