In the case of a nozzle closing valve (114), particularly for the pressure atomizer nozzle of an oil burner, comprising an inlet side (124, 134) with an inlet passage (124), an outlet side (118, 127) with an outlet passage (127) and a valve seat (128) located between the inlet passage (124) and the outlet passage (127), as well as a shutoff member (123), which is sealingly pressed onto the valve seat (128) by means of a first spring (121) located behind the shutoff member (123) and rises from the valve seat (128) counter to the force of the first spring (121) when a predetermined pressure is reached in the inlet passage (124), a maximum sealing action with easy manufacturability and a particularly compact structure are achieved in that the shutoff member is constructed as a membrane (123), the first spring (121) has an essentially linear spring characteristic, the first spring (121) is housed in a spring chamber (129), which is constructed as a space open on one side and whose sole opening is sealingly closed by the membrane (123), and the first spring (121) and the spring chamber (123) are located on the inlet side (124, 134) of the nozzle closing valve (114).
