A spent fuel reprocessing method includes at least the formation of an aqueous solution and at least one solvent extraction step. Formohydroxamic acid is used to reduce any Np(VI) to Np(V) and/or to form a complex with Np(IV). As a result, substantially all the neptunium present is retained in the aqueous phase during solvent extraction.
Ce procédé de retraitement de combustible usé comprend au moins la formation d'une solution aqueuse et au moins une étape d'extraction par solvant. On utilise de l'acide formohydroxamique pour réduire tout Np(VI) en Np(V) et/ou pour former un complexe avec Np(IV). On obtient ainsi que pratiquement tout le neptunium présent est retenu dans la phase aqueuse lors de l'extraction par solvant.
