A nuclear transfer embryo is formed by destabilizing microtubules of an oocyte, whereby essentially all endogenous chromatin collects at a second polar body during meiosis of an oocyte. The oocyte is fused with the nucleus of a donor somatic cell of the same species of said oocyte prior to cessation of extrusion of the second polar body from the oocyte, thereby forming the nuclear transfer embryo. In one embodiment, the nuclear transfer embryo is employed to impregnate an animal, such as a mammal. In another embodiment, the donor nucleus is transgenic.
On forme un embryon de transfert nucléaire en déstabilisant les microtubules d'un ovocyte, procédé au cours duquel toutes les chromatines endogènes se groupent pour former un second corps polaire pendant la méiose d'un ovocyte. On fusionne l'ovocyte au noyau d'une cellule somatique de la même espèce que ledit ovocyte, avant la cessation de l'extrusion du second corps polaire de l'ovocyte, ce qui induit la formation de l'embryon de transfert nucléaire. Dans un mode de réalisation, on utilise l'embryon de transfert nucléaire pour imprégner un animal, tel qu'un mammifère. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le noyau donneur est transgénique.
