The invention relates to exonuclease variants characterised in that said variants lack detectable 5'~3' exonuclease activity but retain endonuclease activity. The invention also relates to vectors encoding the variant exonucleases; the recombinant production of same; and use of the variants in genotyping assays.

L'invention concerne des variants d'exonucléase caractérisés par le fait que lesdits variants, manquent d'une activité exonucléase décelable 5'~3', tout en conservant l'activité endonucléase. L'invention concerne également les vecteurs qui codent les variants d'exonucléase, la production recombinante de ces derniers, et enfin l'utilisation de ces variants dans des bioanalyses de génotypage.
