The present invention relates to an isolated domain of G3BP-2 that mediates binding between G3BP-2 and other proteins, and nucleic acids encoding same. The invention also relates to a method for diagnosing, treating and preventing breast cancer including the step of using a nucleic acid and/or encoded polypeptide for G3BP-2, or fragment thereof, to detect, treat or prevent breast cancer in a mammal, preferably human. In one particular form, the invention relates to an antigen presenting cell, preferably a dendritic cell, that is capable of presenting G3BP-2 or fragments thereof. The invention also relates to lymphocytes, in particular cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, that are G3BP-2 antigen specific.
L'invention porte sur un domaine isolé du G3BP-2 médiant les liaisons entre le G3BP-2 et d'autres proteines, et sur les acides nucléiques codant pour lui. L'invention porte également sur une méthode de diagnostic, traitement et prévention du cancer du sein consistant à utiliser un acide nucléique et/ou un polypeptide codé codant pour le G3BP-2, ou l'un de ses fragments pour détecter, traiter ou prévenir le cancer du sein chez un mammifère, et de préférence chez l'homme. Dans l'une de ses formes particulières, l'invention porte sur une cellule présentant un antigène, de préférence une cellule dendritique pouvant comporter un G3BP-2 ou de ses fragments. L'invention porte également sur des lymphocytes, et en particulier sur des lymphocytes T cytotoxiques, antigènes spécifiques du G3BP-2.
