Provided herein are compositions, processes and kits for noninvasive, early determination of fetal sex from, and/or amount of fetal nucleic acid in, an extracellular nucleic acid sample from a pregnant female. Such compositions, processes and kits are useful for detection of low genomic copy numbers of male fetal nucleic acid in a high copy number background of female nucleic acid, thereby determining the sex of a fetus and/or amount of fetal nucleic acid in a sample.

La présente invention concerne des compositions, des procédés, et des nécessaires, pour déterminer de manière précoce et non invasive, le sexe d'un ftus, et/ou une quantité dADN ftal, à partir dun échantillon dADN extra-cellulaire prélevé chez une femme enceinte. Ces compositions, procédés, et nécessaires, sont utiles pour détecter des séquences dADN ftal masculin à faible nombre de copies génomiques dans un contexte de séquences dADN féminin à fort nombre de copies, ce qui permet ainsi de déterminer le sexe d'un ftus et/ou une quantité dADN ftal dans un échantillon.
