Purified or recombinant peptides and polypeptides having a sequence of a human sperm protein are disclosed. Also provided are polynucleotides encoding the polypeptide, and antibodies that specifically bind the polypeptide. The novel reagents of the invention are used for diagnosis and treatment of human diseases such as immunological infertility, and in contraceptive formulations and vaccines.
