The present invention also concerns novel homodimeric and heterodimeric polypeptides and their use for altering mammalian ovarian follicular growth in vivo or in vitro. In particular, the invention broadly concerns active or passive immunisation against these homo- or heterodimeric polypeptides or functional fragments or variants thereof so as to alter follicular growth in vivo or in vitro.
