The present invention relates to isolated nucleic acid molecules and their corresponding encoded polypeptides able to confer the traits of improved nitrogen use efficiency in plants. The present invention further relates to the use of these nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides in making transgenic plants, plant cells, plant materials or seeds of a plant having improved nitrogen use efficiency that leads to improvement in plant size, vegetative growth, growth rate, seedling vigor and/or biomass that are altered with respect to wild type plants grown under normal and/or abnormal nitrogen conditions.
La présente invention concerne des molécules d'acide nucléique isolées et les polypeptides encodés correspondants pouvant conférer à des végétaux le caractère d'une plus grande efficacité dans l'exploitation de l'azote. La présente invention concerne par ailleurs l'utilisation de ces molécules d'acide nucléique et polypeptides pour la production de végétaux transgéniques, cellules végétales, matériel végétal ou graines de plantes présentant une efficacité accrue dans l'exploitation de l'azote, ce qui entraîne des améliorations au niveau de la taille de la plante, de sa croissance végétative, de sa vitesse de croissance, de la vigueur des semis et/ou de la biomasse modifiées par rapport aux plantes de type sauvage qui croissent dans des conditions azotées normales et/ou anormales.
