A cDNA sequence coding for a human protein having regulative properties of angiogenesis has been isolated and se- quenced. Expression vector containing such sequence have been constructed and, after transformation of host cells, the synthesis of the related protein has been obtained. Such protein called PIGF can be employed both in the tumoral immunologic and diag- nostic field and in the therapeutic field for pathologies related to the formation of vessels, as for instance the healing of wounds and so on.
