Nucleic acid sequences encoding two RAD51 recombinases active in maize plants are provided. cDNA sequences including the $I(ZmRAD51) coding sequencies and unique 3-untranslated regions which are useful as RFLP probes, are also provided. The production of plasmids containing a nucleic acid sequence encoding a $I(ZmRAD51) fusion protein, as well as the use of the plasmids to introduce the ZmRAD51 coding sequence into a host cell, such as maize cell, are also disclosed.
L'invention concerne des séquences nucléotidiques codant deux recombinases RAD51 actives dans les plants de maïs. L'invention concerne également des séquences d'ADNc comportant les séquences codantes pour ZmRAD51 et des séquences 3' non traduites qui sont utiles comme sondes RFLP. L'invention concerne enfin la production de plasmides contenant une séquence nucléotidique codant une protéine de fusion de ZmRAD51, ainsi que l'utilisation de ces plasmides pour introduire la séquence codante pour ZmRAD51 dans une cellule hôte, notamment dans une cellule de maïs.
