The invention relates to nucleotidic monocatenary fragments belonging to preserved or variables regions of ribosomal RNA (16S) of bacteria of the Rickettsia genus. Said fragments are capable of hybridizing in predetermined conditions to rDNA or rRNA of at least one bacteria of the Rickettsia genus and not to rDNA or rRNA of non-Rickettsia. The invention also relates to probes, initiators whose sequences belong to said fragments of the invention, as well as to a reactant and a method for identifying the Rickettsia genus or a species of the Rickettsia genus.

L'invention concerne des fragments nucléotidiques monocaténaires appartenant à des régions conservées ou variables de l'ARN ribosomique 16S de bactéries du genre Rickettsia. Ces fragments sont capables de s'hybrider dans des conditions prédéterminées à l'ADNr ou l'ARNr d'au moins une bactérie du genre Rickettsia et non à l'ADNr ou l'ARNr des non Rickettsia. L'invention concerne en outre les sondes, les amorces dont les séquences appartiennent à celles des fragments de l'invention, ainsi qu'un réactif et un procédé pour identifier le genre Rickettsia, ou une espèce du genre Rickettsia.
