The nursing cover includes a fabric panel that has three portions. The front portion is for draping over a nursing baby and over the front of a nursing mother. The rear portion drapes over the shoulder and down the mother's back. The central portion is made of a mesh-type fabric that has sufficient opacity to obscure the baby from the view of a bystander but sufficient openness of weave to permit ventilation for the baby. Two areas of the outer side edge may be joined to provide additional privacy for the baby and the mother along the nursing side of the mother. When not being used as a nursing cover, it can serve as a stroller cover, with complementary hook-and-loop-type fasteners being mated to form a sleeve that can be draped over a stroller brace. In this embodiment the mesh-type fabric protects the baby from direct sunlight and provides privacy.
Couverture d'allaitement constituée d'un panneau de tissu ayant trois parties. La partie frontale sert à couvrir le bébé allaité et le devant de la mère. La partie arrière couvre l'épaule et tombe le long du dos de la mère. La partie centrale est constituée d'un tissu à mailles assez opaque afin de rendre le bébé moins visible pour une personne présente, mais assez ajouré afin d'assurer une ventilation pour le nourrisson. Deux zones du bord latéral extérieur peuvent être jointes pour procurer encore plus d'intimité au nourrisson et à la mère, le long du côté où la mère allaite. Lorsqu'elle n'est pas utilisée aux fins d'allaitement, la couverture peut servir à recouvrir une poussette. Elle est en effet dotée de fermetures adhésives complémentaires qui peuvent être réunies pour former un manchon pouvant être drapé par-dessus l'armature de la poussette. Cette dernière utilisation du tissu à mailles permet de protéger le nourrisson contre une exposition directe aux rayons solaires, et d'assurer son intimité.
