ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a nut having an expansible and reducible body construction. The nut comprises a nut body having an axial hole with internal screw threads on the internal axial surface thereof. A plurality of slots extend from the top of the nut body in a downward direction so as to define a plurality of nut segments. The slots are terminated at lower position of the body thereby defining a thin joint part to connect the nut seg- ments with each other at the lower part of the nut body.
