ABSTRACT A nutrient concentrate for fungus cultivation, and a method of manufacturing said concentrate, are distinguished in that excrements of cattle husbandry are prepared in controlled fashion, by biochemical and microbial means, namely by fermentation and/or composting, such that the final product has a low pH well suited to the fungal mycelia, is essentially free of unbound ammonia, and contains a high concentration of lignoprotein which is selectively utilizable by fungal mycelia.
