An enteral composition for paediatric patients. The composition is made up of a protein source, a carbohydrate source and a lipid source. The protein source provides 10 % to 14 % of the total calories and is in the form of casein and whey. The lipid source is a mixture of medium and long chain triglycerides of which at least 20 % are medium chain triglycerides. The composition may be used for providing nutrition to a paediatric patient; especially patients suffering from cerebral palsy or recovering from trauma, bums or surgery and having moderate needs for tissue repair.

On décrit une composition de nutrition entérale destinée à des patients en pédiatrie. Cette composition comprend une source de protéines, une sources d'hydrates de carbone ainsi qu'une source de lipides. La source de protéines apporte 10 à 14 % des calories totales et se présente sous la forme de caséine et de lactérosérum. La source de lipides se compose d'un mélange de triglycérides à chaîne longue et moyenne dont au moins 20 % sont des triglycérides à chaîne moyenne. On peut utiliser cette composition en tant que nutrition destinée à un patient en pédiatrie, notamment à des patients soufrant d'infirmité motrice cérébrale ou se rétablissant après des traumatismes, des brûlures ou une chirurgie et présentant des besoins moyens en réparation tissulaire.
