The invention comprises an apparatus for delivering a nutritive substance comprising a container body (14) having a base at one end thereof, an upper portion (18) adapted for removable receipt of a closure (16), the upper portion defining an opening (22) therein,, and a chamber (130) defined by the container body, the chamber being in fluid communication with the upper portion opening. A laminate seal (42) having at least two layers is bonded across the upper portion opening and is adapted to provide an airtight seal across the opening and prevent contact between said nutritive substance and the contents of said container until said seal is altered. The laminate seal comprises a first layer (48) permanently bonded to a rim defining the opening in the container upper portion and a second layer (52) that is releasably coupled to the first layer. A nutritive substance is bonded to the first layer of the laminate seal. The container additionally comprises a closure removably coupled to the upper portion.
L'invention comporte un appareil pour distribuer une substance nutritive, lequel appareil comporte un corps de contenant (14) qui présente une base à une extrémité de celui-ci, une partie supérieure (18) conçue pour la réception amovible d'une fermeture (16), la partie supérieure définissant une ouverture (22) à l'intérieur de celle-ci, et une chambre (130) définie par le corps de contenant, la chambre étant en communication de fluide avec l'ouverture de la partie supérieure. Un joint d'étanchéité stratifié (42), qui présente au moins deux couches et qui est collé sur l'ouverture de la partie supérieure, est conçu pour constituer un joint d'étanchéité à l'air sur l'ouverture et pour empêcher un contact entre ladite substance nutritive et le contenu dudit contenant jusqu'à ce que ledit joint d'étanchéité soit altéré. Le joint d'étanchéité stratifié comporte une première couche (48) collée de façon permanente à un rebord définissant l'ouverture dans la partie supérieure de contenant et une seconde couche (52) qui est couplée de façon libérable à la première couche. Une substance nutritive est fixée à la première couche du joint d'étanchéité stratifié. Le contenant comporte en outre une fermeture couplée de façon amovible à la partie supérieure.
