A sealing washer (36) includes a connecting portion (38) and an inner edge portion (44) disposed radially inward of the connecting portion (38). The inner edge portion (44) terminates in an edge disposed in an edge plane that is offset from the connecting portion (48). The sealing washer (36) may be used, for example, to form a seal between a bolt (32) and an elastomeric sheet (20), by forming a tight seal as the bolt (32) is tightened.
