A computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product for performing object collocation on a computer system are provided. The method includes analyzing a sequence of computer instructions for object allocations and uses of the allocated objects. The method further includes creating an allocation interference graph of object allocation nodes with edges indicating pairs of allocations to be omitted from collocation. The method also includes colouring the allocation interference graph such that adjacent nodes are assigned different colours, and creating an object allocation at a program point prior to allocations of a selected colour from the allocation interference graph. The method additionally includes storing an address associated with the created object allocation in a collocation pointer, and replacing a use of each allocation of the selected colour with a use of the collocation pointer to collocate multiple objects.
Il s'agit d'une méthode, d'un système mis en oeuvre par ordinateur, et d'un produit-programme informatique qui permettent d'effectuer la collocation sur un système informatique. Cette méthode comprend l'analyse d'une séquence d'instructions informatiques pour des attributions d'objets et des applications des objets attribués. Ladite méthode comprend de plus la création d'un graphe d'interférence des attributions des noeuds d'attribution d'objets, avec des tranches indiquant des paires d'attributions à omettre de la collocation. Cette méthode comprend aussi le coloriage du graphe d'interférence des attributions, de sorte que soient affectées différentes couleurs aux noeuds adjacents, et la création d'une attribution d'objet à un point de programme, avant les attributions d'une couleur sélectionnée à partir du graphe d'interférence des attributions. Cette méthode comprend en plus la mémorisation d'une adresse associée à l'attribution des objets créés dans un pointeur de collocation, et le remplacement d'une application de chaque attribution de la couleur sélectionnée par une application du pointeur de collocation pour co-localiser de multiples objets.
