A high performance fixed focal length optical imaging system for example for a cine camera is operable to receive radiation from an object space and deliver the received radiation through the optical system so as to form an image at an image surface in an image space. The optical system comprises: a first positively powered lens group (501) and a second positively powered lens group (502) arranged in that order from object space to the image space of the optical system and aligned on a common optical axis, wherein the first positively powered lens group comprises a plurality of optical elements wherein at least one of the plurality of optical elements is stationary and at least one of the plurality of optical elements has an aspheric optical, surface, and the second positively powered lens group comprises at least one optical element and is operable to move axially along the common optical axis for focusing the imaging system, wherein at least one optical element of the second lens group has an aspheric optical surface. The imaging system has the advantage of providing high relative illumination and high contrast at elevated spatial frequencies even when using a fast aperture.
La présente invention porte sur un système d'imagerie optique à longueur focale fixe de haute performance, par exemple pour une caméra de cinéma. Ledit système d'imagerie optique est conçu pour recevoir un rayonnement d'un espace objet et transmettre le rayonnement reçu à travers le système optique de sorte à former une image sur une surface d'image dans un espace image. Le système optique comprend un premier groupe de lentilles alimentées positivement (501) et un second groupe de lentilles alimentées positivement (502) disposés dans cet ordre, depuis l'espace objet jusquà l'espace image du système optique et alignés sur un axe optique commun. Le premier groupe de lentilles alimentées positivement comprend une pluralité d'éléments optiques, au moins un élément optique de la pluralité d'éléments optiques étant fixe, au moins un élément optique de la pluralité d'éléments optiques ayant une surface optique asphérique. Le second groupe de lentilles alimentées positivement comprend au moins un élément optique et est conçu pour se déplacer axialement le long de l'axe optique commun pour focaliser le système d'imagerie. Au moins un élément optique du second groupe de lentilles a une surface optique asphérique. Le système d'imagerie a l'avantage de produire un fort éclairement relatif et un fort contraste à des fréquences spatiales élevées même lors de l'utilisation d'une ouverture rapide.
