An air ventilation device for bringing fresh air into mine drifts from ground level. The air ventilation device has a pair of air circulation units disposed side by side, each air circulation unit having a power rotor, a rotor casing partly enclosing the rotor, and a plurality of blades rotatably carried by the power rotor radially thereof. A single fan casing surrounds both air circulation units and is integral to the rotor casings. The fan casing is of cross-sectionally oblong shape widthwisely , to increase ground clearance in the mine shaft while maintaining suitable air flowthrough capabilities.
