The apparatus includes a self-propelled carriage having a push/pull bar, and a heating assembly carried by the carriage and powered by the power supply. The heating assembly includes a fan that blows ambient air over a heating element to generate a heated airflow sufficient to fuse the roofing membranes to one another. A nozzle is coupled to the heating assembly and a pair of outer channels with an elevated center channel disposed therebetween. A variable pressure roller assembly is also coupled to the carriage and has a pair of outer rollers and a spring-biased center roller disposed therebetween. The spring-biased roller is aligned with the elevated channel and passes over the protruding fastener so as to form a substantially continuous width seam except where interrupted by the protruding fastener.
L'invention se rapporte à un appareil comprenant un chariot autopropulsé présentant une barre de poussée et de traction, et un ensemble de chauffage porté par le chariot et alimenté par l'alimentation en courant. L'ensemble de chauffage comprend un ventilateur qui souffle l'air ambiant sur un élément de chauffage afin de générer un écoulement d'air chauffé suffisant pour que les membranes de toiture fusionnent entre elles. Une tuyère est reliée à l'ensemble de chauffage et une paire de canaux extérieurs ayant un canal central en hauteur est disposée entre les deux.
