WE54,208 Abstract of the Disclosure A selected frequency component is obtained in rectangular coordinates from each waveform in a set of electrical waveforms by periodically, during a cycle of the selected frequency, sequentially at instants separated by selected intervals, generating digital waveform samples of the instantaneous analog amplitude of each waveform. The digital waveform samples are correlated with reference sine and cosine waves of the selected frequency by a microprocessor using a full cycle Fourier algorithm which is adjusted for the number of intervals between generation of the digital sample for the respective waveforms. The digital samples are generated sequentially by multiplexing the analog signals to a single sample/hold circuit for conversion to digital signals by an analog to digital converter.
