ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Trans-(?)-2,5-optionally substituted- octahydrothiazolo [4,5-g] quinolines, or their enantiomers, of the formula Image I wherein R is H, benzyl, methyl, ethyl, n-propyl or allyl; R1 is H, OH, halogen,methyl, NH2, NHC1-3 alkyl, N(C1-3 alkyl)2, 1-pyrrolidinyl, NHCOC1-3 alkyl, or NHC1-2 alkylphenyl; or their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition or quaternary salts thereof, are provided by the present invention. As D-2 dopamine agonists, the compounds of this invention are useful in treating Parkinson's Syndrome, in treating sexual dysfunction, as antidepressants and anti-anxiety agents in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive animals, and in inhibiting prolactin secretion.
