MILLER, a citizen of the United States of America and resident of Emeryville, County of Contra Costa, State of California, have invented new and useful improvements in AN OCTANE UPGRADING PROCESS FOR LIGHT PARAFFINS USING A COMBINATION OF TWO PALLADIUM-ZEOLITE CATALYSTS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The research octane of a light paraffinic hydro- carbon feed is effectively measured by consecutively con- tacting the feed under hydrocarbon conversion conditions with a palladium-HY-zeolite-alumina catalyst and then with a palladium-HZSM-5-zeolite-alumina catalyst.
