An ocular prosthesis includes a posterior sclera portion partially nested with an anterior clear portion. An iris disk piece and/or a retinal chip may also be disposed between the posterior and anterior portions. A method for manufacturing the ocular prosthesis includes scanning an impression of an eye socket or an existing ocular prosthesis, fabricating posterior and anterior portions from geometrical models generated from the scans, and forming the ocular prosthesis by joining the two portions. In another embodiment of the method, a photograph of an iris is provided and manipulated to form a multi disk iris piece to be used in the ocular prosthesis.
L'invention concerne une prothèse oculaire comportant une partie sclérotique postérieure en partie nichée dans une partie claire antérieure. Un élément de disque d'iris et/ou une puce de rétine peuvent également être disposés entre les parties postérieure et antérieure. La présente invention porte également sur un procédé pour réaliser une prothèse oculaire, ce procédé comprenant le balayage d'une impression de l'orbite ou d'une prothèse oculaire existante, la réalisation des parties postérieure et antérieure à partir de modèles géométriques générés sur la base des balayages, et la formation de la prothèse oculaire par jonction des deux parties. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la photographie de l'iris est manipulée pour former un élément d'iris multi-disque destiné à la prothèse oculaire.
