An external ocular protective device that has eye shields of nonreflective stainless steel or titanium joined together by an adjustable spring-type nose piece and held tightly over the patient's eyes by use of an adjustable elastic band placed around and behind the patient's head. The members that connect the eye shields and also provide for holding the shields in place around the patient's head are preferably very this flexible wires that extend away from the patient's head to allow the surgeon to work any of the areas of the face without interference.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de protection externe des yeux comprenant des couvre-oeil en acier inoxydable ou en titane non réfléchissant assemblés par un élément du type ressort réglable disposé sur le nez et maintenu étroitement sur les yeux du patient par une bande élastique réglable placée derrière et autour de la tête du patient. Les éléments reliant les couvre-oeil et assurant un maintien ferme autour de la tête du patient sont de préférence des fils souples, très fins qui se prolongent au-delà de la tête du patient afin de permettre au chirurgien de travailler sur toutes les zones du visage sans être gêné.
