ARC 552 TITLE: OCULAR THERAPEUTIC SYSTEM ABSTRACT A drug-containing ocular insert that is sized and shaped specifically for placement and retention in the superior fornix above (cephalic to) the superior tarsal plate is disclosed. The insert is in the form of a crescent shaped body that has rounded ends and a concave edge whose radius of curvature approximates the radius of curvature of the superior border of the superior tarsal plate. The body may be planar or concavo- convex so as to conform to the curvature of the eyeball.
