TITLE OF THE INVENTION OCULOSELECTIVE B-BLOCKERS ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a compound of the following general formula: Image which includes the (R) and (S)-enantiomer, mixtures of the (S) and (R)-enantiomers and the threo and erythro-diastereomers and the individual enantiomer thereof or an ophthalmologically acceptable salt thereof, wherein: R1 is C1-5alkyl, R2 is C1-3alkyl, R3 is 1) hydrogen, 2) C1-3alkyl, 3) C1-3alkoxy, 4) halo, or 5) cyano; R4 is hydrogen or C1-3alkyl; and n is 1-5. Such compounds are oculoselective B-Blockers useful in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure with little or no effect on the pulmonary or cardiovascular system.
