A method and composition for deodorizing soft surfaces such as carpeting and upholstery are disclosed. The method includes the spraying of a liquid composition on a soft surface and allowing the composition to absorb into the soft surface, form liquid agglomerations within the soft surface so the agglomerations can make contact with malodorants disposed within the soft surface. The composition is capable of penetrating rapidly and deeply into the soft surfaces for contacting odor-causing substances embedded therein. The composition comprises an active ingredient such as a glycol or triethanolamine. Other ingredients that contribute to the surface penetration and/or agglomeration formation include ethanol, water, fragrance and a combination of at least one nonionic and at least one ionic surfactant.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et une composition pour désodoriser des surfaces molles telles que les tapisseries et capitonnages. Le procédé consiste à pulvériser une composition liquide sur une surface molle et à laisser la surface molle absorber la composition pour qu'elle forme des agglomérats de liquide à l'intérieur de la surface molle et que les agglomérats entrent en contact avec les agents malodorants se trouvant dans le matériau à surface molle. La composition se prête à une pénétration rapide et en profondeur dans le matériau à surface molle de façon à entrer en contact avec les substances qui y sont incluses et dégagent des mauvaises odeurs. La composition comprend un agent actif tel qu'un glycol ou la triéthanolamine. La composition comprend également d'autres agents contribuant à la pénétration et/ou à la formation d'agglomérats, ces agents étant essentiellement l'éthanol, l'eau, des parfums, et une combinaison d'au moins un tensioactif non-ionique et d'au moins un tensioactif ionique.
