A composition which can be used as an odorizing agent for a gas fuel, more particularly natural gas, comprising: 0.1 49.9 % alkyl sulfur (I) of formula R?1¿-S-R?2¿ wherein R?1¿ and R?2¿, are either the same or different and represent an alkyl radical having 1 - 4 carbon atoms; or R?1¿ and R?2¿ when taken with the sulfur atom to which they are attached represent a saturated or unsaturated cycle consisting of 3 - 5 carbon atoms, optionally substituted by a C¿1?-C¿4? alkyl radical or C¿1?-C¿4? alkenyl radical; 50 99.8 % alkyl acrylate (II) wherein the alkyl radical comprises 1 -12 carbon atoms, preferably 1 - 8; 0.001 0.1 % of a compound (III) which inhibits the polymerization of the alkyl acrylate (II) comprising a stable nitroxide radical.

Composition utilisable notamment comme agent odorisant d~un combustible gazeux, plus particulièrement du gaz naturel, comprenant : de 0,1 à 49,9 % d~un sulfure d~alkyle (I) de formule R1-S-R2 dans laquelle R1 et R2, identiques ou différents, représentent : un radical alkyle comprenant de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone ; ou R1 et R2 pris avec l~atome de soufre auquel ils sont attachés représentent un cycle saturé ou insaturé comprenant de 3 à 5 atomes de carbone, éventuellement substitué par un radical C1-C4 alkyle ou C1-C4 alcényle ; de 50 à 99,8 % d~un acrylate d~alkyle (II) dont le radical alkyle comprend de 1 à 12 atome de carbone, de préférence de 1 à 8 ; de 0,001 à 0,1 % d~un composé (III) inhibiteur de polymérisation de l~acrylate d~alkyle (II) comprenant un radical nitroxyde stable.
