ODOURLESS BENZOIC ACID PROCESS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Odourless benzoic acid is prepared by treating benzoic acid, after crystallisation, with an inert gas at temperatures in the range of 50 - 100°C. The process is best carried out using benzoic acid crystals or particles having a particle size of less than 1 mm in a moving or fluidised bed.
