ABSTRACT: A bulk material offloading installation for e.g. ships, bunkers and stockyards includes an endless- chain bucket elevator 6 encircled at its lower end by a bucket wheel 12 inclined at about 45° to the elevator 6. The wheel buckets radiate obliquely, relative to the bucket wheel plane, in the upward axial direction of the bucket wheel 12. Below the bucket wheel 12 and into which the wheel buckets discharge is a recptacle, in the form of a hopper or a dish, through which the ele- vator buckets advance.
