The invention concerns an input/output controller designed for co-operating with a central unit (UC) of a computer communicating with peripheral electronic equipment (EQ). It is connected to the central unit (UC) and to the peripheral electronic equipment (EQ). The connection with the central unit (UC) is carried out by means of a serial input line (Ise) and at least a serial output line (Iss1, Iss2). It receives instructions of a first type (CO4) from the central unit (UC) and instructions of a second type (CO1, CO2, CO3) stored in the memory (PROM) external to the unit which it processes using a sequencing device (SEQ) which allocates time frames to the instructions according to their type. The invention is applicable in particular in the field of avionics to management flight systems.

La présente invention concerne un contrôleur d'entrées-sorties destiné à coopérer avec une unité centrale (UC) d'un calculateur qui communique avec des équipements électroniques (EQ) périphériques. Il est relié d'une part à l'unité centrale (UC) et d'autre part aux équipements électroniques (EQ) périphériques. La liaison avec l'unité centrale (UC) est réalisée avec une ligne série d'entrée (Ise) et au moin une ligne série de sortie (Iss1, Iss2). Il reçoit des instructions d'un premier type (C04) en provenance de l'unité centrale (UC) et des instructions d'au moins un deuxième type (CO1, CO2, CO3) stockées dans une mémoire (PROM) extérieure à l'unité centrale qu'il traite à l'aide d'un dispositif séquenceur (SEQ) qui alloue des tranches de temps aux instructions selon leur type. Application notamment dans le domaine avionique aux systèmes de gestion de vol.
