OFFSET OVERLAPPED NEEDLES SYSTEM FOR MATERIAL POSITIONING ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for positioning and transferring two or more pre-cut pieces of material superimposed in a predetermined relative position to each other. A guide cavity is provided to effect the predetermined positioning of the pre-cut pieces. A transfer mechanism engages and displaces the super- imposed material while maintaining the pieces of material in the predetermined position. A displaceable body member transfers the superimposed pieces of material to a holding device. - 1 -
